Protecting your privacy

When you register with SurreyCommunity.info, we will not give your details to other organisations. If you join any of the websites on SurreyCommunity.info, the people running those sites have to agree to keep your details private and in accordance with the Data Protection Act. If you believe that your details are being misused, you must contact us at enquiries@surreyccommunity.info.

Your email address will not be displayed on any public pages but the administrators of any sites you join will be able to see your email address and use it to contact you regarding their site.

As a registered user, you can take part in the interactive features of SurreyCommunity sites. For example, you can post to discussion boards or comment on blogs. When you do this, your name will automatically be displayed next to your contribution. You can set a screen name to be used instead of your real name 

How to set your screen name

• Login (if you haven't already) by clicking the login link at the top of the page.
• Click on the Your account link at the top of the page. The screen will update to show you your account details.
• Click on the edit button 
• Type the name that you want to use into the screen name field
• Click the OK button

The screen name will now be displayed instead of your real name.
